The woman worked for a construction company and was fatally injured in a workplace accident. Her gantry crane overturned due to a strong gust of wind, and the crane operator fell out of the cabin from a 12-meter height.
Elvira Demidova is a crane operator, a mother of two children and a favorite of the 40-thousandth audience of tiktok users. She gained fame thanks to humorous videos shot at work. Simple, understandable jokes from the life of a working man were liked by users and Elvira the Crane operator became popular quite quickly.
An accident with a blogger occurred at one of the production bases in Tyumen. Demidova was unloading reinforced concrete products when a strong gust of wind overturned her crane. The woman was injured when falling from a height comparable to the fifth floor and died on the spot.
In connection with the incident, investigators opened a criminal case under part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Its name sounds like "Violation of safety rules during construction or other work, which caused death by negligence."
It is not known whether violations were committed during the execution of the work, or Demidova was the victim of a fatal accident. On July 26, the day of the tragedy, there were strong gusts of wind in Tyumen. In some areas of the city, trees were even felled.
Unfortunately, construction remains one of the most dangerous industries. It often happens that other people suffer because of the builders' mistakes.
