Roofers in Hong Kong

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/roofers-in-hong-kong.htmlWrites Writes Vitaly Raskalov: “In January of this year, as part of my trip to Asia, I happened to visit one of the most amazing and interesting cities in the world - Hong Kong. I was in the city for only 4 days, where I received a visa to China and went to Guangzhou. In this very short time, I managed to climb a decent number of rooftops from where the best views of the highest city in the world opened up. ”

PS: After visiting Hong Kong, people often began to ask me if the equipment there is many times cheaper than in Russia. To be honest, if you just take it from a stall from local hucksters, then the prices in the area are like those of some kind of Media Markt in Moscow. But if you know people and places, then for 20-25 thousand you can safely buy a stolen 5D Mark II or a 2012 MacBook Pro in an average configuration.
PSS: If you are going to visit China, and there is no time to wait for a visa, then it is best to do this through Hong Kong. A visa to the neighbors can be bought from locals for 2 thousand rubles for 3 months and you will receive it the next day after payment.
1. Moment number one, from above during the day in the city it is almost impossible to remove anything. The city is shrouded in a huge amount of smog, and the houses on the neighboring shore are already hardly visible through the telephoto lens of the camera.
2.
3. It all looks very gloomy.
4. The photo was taken from the tallest building in the city. Its height is 480 meters, at the very top there is a very expensive and elite restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to climb onto the roof itself, so here’s just one shot from the restaurant. For scale, the orange house downstairs is about 60 stories high.
5. At night, the city transforms and looks really cool.
6. Every day you can catch a beautiful laser show on the embankment. Alas, it is very difficult to capture it in a photo.
7.
8. The left high-rise in the frame is exactly the same 480-meter skyscraper. To be honest, architecturally it looks disgusting, one of the worst buildings in the city.
9. One of the best rooftops I've been to. JW Marriott Hotel.
10. Everything is very difficult with roofs in Hong Kong, probably one of the most difficult cities in terms of climbing. Here, the doors are not just locked, they also put a fire alarm, and if you break the lock and try to open the door, then a fire siren will yell at the whole house. So I can safely say that out of 5 skyscrapers, at best, I managed to climb only one.
11. There is a good video about rooftoppers from Hong Kong, mostly they use master keys to get on the roofs. Alas, I don’t have such skills yet, so for the most part I hoped for luck or found alternative ways to bypass doors.
12. Hong Kong is located on the Kowloon Peninsula, washed by the South China Sea from the west, south and east, as well as on more than 260 islands, the largest of which are Hong Kong (the location of the supreme authorities and the financial center of the territory), Lantau and Lamma. To the north, Hong Kong borders the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the Chinese province of Guangdong. Hong Kong is usually divided into three parts: Hong Kong Island itself, Kowloon and the New Territories. Hong Kong is part of the Pearl River Delta region, located on the left bank of its mouth.

14. In 1842, Hong Kong was captured by Great Britain and remained its colony until 1997, when the People's Republic of China received sovereignty over the territory. According to the joint Chinese-British declaration and the Basic Law of Hong Kong, the territory is granted broad autonomy until 2047, that is, within 50 years after the transfer of sovereignty. As part of the course of "One country, two systems" and "Hong Kong is run by the Hong Kongers themselves under conditions of a high degree of autonomy", during this period the Central People's Government of the PRC takes over the defense and foreign policy of the territory, while Hong Kong retains control over legislation, police forces, monetary system, duties and immigration policy, and maintains representation in international organizations and events.

18. Until 1997, Hong Kong was a British territory. From here, the city has quite a large amount of English architecture.

21. A few words about alternative roof climbs. For example, the courtyard of an ordinary residential building, as you can see at the top of the frame in the center there is a window, it is closed with glass curtains that can be dismantled within 10 minutes. But this is a very simple option, there were situations when the window was several meters below the roof and you almost had to jump out and cling to the edge of the roof.
