Ronda Rousey – MMA fighter, wrestler, farmer and just a beauty

American Ronda Rousey can be called a cult figure of the UFC without exaggeration. It was she who made women's MMA fights popular and became the very first female champion. She defended the belt six times, then lost twice and retired from mixed martial arts to wrestling. She became a star there, too, because she just can't help but be the first.

Ronda Jean Rousey was born in 1987 in Riverside, California, USA. Her mother was an American judo champion and instilled in her daughter a love of wrestling from an early age. The girl was seriously engaged in judo and boxing, so she could easily fight back against the hooligans of her district.

Prior to Rousey's arrival in the big sport, Dana White did not intend to launch a women's division, but communication with Ronda radically changed his attitude towards women in this sport.

For women's mixed martial arts, Ronda Rousey has become like Conor McGregor for men's. If the Irishman brought thousands of guys to the UFC, then Rousey made this sport popular among women.

Ronda Rousey spent three years in the UFC and during this time defended the championship title six times. In between performances, the martial beauty starred in movies. She can be seen in the films "The Expendables 3", "Fast and Furious 7" and "22 Miles".
