Fast food restaurants do not use any supernatural ingredients, it's all about following the recipe. So you can cook real fast food (in the good sense of the word) at home if you adopt this post.
1. Chicken as in KFC
The servants of the cult of Colonel Sanders really cook chicken with the addition of 11 herbs and spices. But for a family dinner, you can do without celery salt and dried thyme leaves, right? You will need three quarters of a cup of flour, a tablespoon of salt, the same amount of pepper, two teaspoons of ready-made seasoning for poultry and one and a half teaspoons of paprika. This is based on four hams divided into shins and thighs.
Pour all dry ingredients alternately into a deep bowl, stirring constantly. Chicken pieces soaked in water are wholeheartedly rolled in the resulting mixture. Now put them on a greased frying pan (it would be nice to find peanut butter, then the chicken will not stick) — and in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees. The chicken will reach the condition in 45-50 minutes. Somewhere in the middle of the process, pour oil from the frying pan over it to form a crust.
2. Danish hot dog
The recipe for a classic hot dog is elementary, like a multiplication table. Therefore, we will choose the Danish version, a little more sophisticated. The main (and only) feature of this hot dog is the crispy onion. Chop it and fry it until golden brown in vegetable oil. Add salt and pepper, stir and immediately sprinkle with flour. And once again we carefully stir so that the flour does not burn.
We spread the ruddy onion on a napkin, which will absorb excess oil, and this is where the sophisticated part ends. Then everything is according to the classics. Fry the sausages, put them in cut rolls and pour ketchup with mustard. Now onions and sliced cucumbers. That's it, you're in Copenhagen.
3. French fries
You can eat delicious French fries at home only if you cook it yourself. Because while the delivery is going, the potatoes will cool down and lose all their charm. Select several large tubers and cut into identical bars with a cross-section of about a centimeter by a centimeter. Then lower them for about ten minutes in cold water to remove excess starch. Then wipe with paper towels.
It's good if you have a deep fryer, but you can also use a regular pan. Pour refined vegetable oil four times more than the volume of potatoes. The oil should be heated to 180 degrees. To check if the desired temperature has been reached, lower one slice. If it hissed and surfaced, you can lay the rest of the potatoes. When the slices turn golden, stir and wait another minute. We recommend salting already on a plate, and not during frying. And do not try to use the oil again.
4. Burger
And finally, about the king of fast food. It would seem that what could be simpler than a burger: a bun, a cutlet, sauce and something else to taste. However, developing your own recipe is, to put it mildly, not an easy task. Which cutlet to use? Classic chilled beef or add pork, or maybe chicken breast? Picking up the sauce is generally an art. And we are still silent about the level of roasting and the compatibility of additional ingredients.
