Rare cars on the bluffs of Mulholland Drive

This is Mulholland Drive, a 55-kilometer stretch of "scenic splendor" freeway built in 1924 that leads to Hollywood from Santa Monica. However, car accidents happen here not only in films, but also in real life. Photographer Jason Knight decided to explore the steep slopes of this track for the remains of old cars that crashed here during the long history of the Mulholland Drive track.

2. Photographer Jason Knight says: “I was intrigued by the legends about the huge number of vintage cars scattered on the slopes of Mulholland Drive and left to rot. The legends may turn out to be true, but no one has taken the time to photograph these cars.”
3. Then he took the camera and explored the bushy slopes of the Dead man's Curve road, or as it is also called - "Mulholland Drive". He found hundreds of cars abandoned here after they fell into the cliff.
4. Back to nature: Plants entwined around a wrecked car on Mulholland Drive.
5. Some cars turned out to be quite rare and rare here, but, unfortunately, no one takes up their restoration due to the high cost of this activity.
6. Belly up: Countless cars for various reasons were not kept on the track and fell down into the cliff.
7. Beautiful landscapes and steep mountain cliffs of this road have repeatedly inspired many film directors to shoot these places.
8. Jason Knight says: "These places are full of rusting vintage car wrecks, these places are like a graveyard of wrecked cars." Legendary cars of yesteryear attract curious spectators.

10. Jason Knight says: “Some were almost completely buried. I saw at least seven that were mostly still visible. I wondered how they could fall in the same place. In one place there were three cars stacked randomly on top of each other.
11. Road officials tried to remove the wreckage over the years, but the cost of the evacuation work was too high, so many cars were not pulled from the cliff.
12. Dirt and plants filled the remains of the car.
