By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/pumpkin-masterpieces-by-marilyn-sunderland.htmlMarilyn Sunderland is an American artist from Colombia. Each of her works is a work of art. Flowers, picturesque mountain landscapes, foliage, nature that surrounds the artist - all this is miraculously embodied by her on an ordinary vegetable grown in a garden - a pumpkin. Such a seemingly simple vegetable can become an excellent canvas for a true master artist!
Marilyn creates amazing carvings out of pumpkins. She has repeatedly participated in competitions and international exhibitions and has already received several awards for her work. Inspired by the beauty of nature, and drawing on the mood of the world around us, the artist decorates her pumpkins with various patterns and ornaments.
The intricacies of leaves, berries and flowers, figurines of butterflies and birds, cover the sculptures with interesting lace, turning an ordinary vegetable into a masterpiece that you want to admire, touch and consider.
