Photokina 2014: Cameras of the future

Categories: Exhibition

On September 16, the International Exhibition of Photographic Equipment and Digital Technologies Photokina 2014 started in Cologne. The event is held every two years and is considered the largest and most significant event in the industry. For six days, leading manufacturers - Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus and others - will present their new products - cameras, lenses, applications for editing and image processing, etc.

It is worth noting that on the first day of Photokina 2014, Samsung announced itself most loudly, which brought a new NX1 camera to Germany. Apparently, the Korean company decided to take another niche in the technology market, although, according to its representatives, Samsung has been engaged in cameras since 1979. The NX1 features a 3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, 28.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, ISO 100-25600, expandable to ISO 51200, Full HD and HD video, Hybrid AF with 205 phase and 209 contrast sensors, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0. Camera weight — 550 gr. The body kit will cost $1,500, and the kit with a 16-50mm f/2-2.8 lens will cost $2,800.
