Perfectionism in the closet: a girl taught Twitter users how to put things correctly

The usual cleaning in the closet for many of us turns into a real test of the psyche for strength. Two main problems: how to place everything and where to put seasonal things that are temporarily not needed are familiar to everyone. But as it turned out, there are people who cope with this mission easily and creatively. A girl with the nickname Gelsamina shared her way to put her wardrobe in order on Twitter and her thread about cleaning the closet became a real revelation for many.

Gelsamina's thread, dedicated to the organization of storing things in the closet, appeared on Twitter on May 27 and immediately became very popular. The girl began by explaining to the readers the main problems that prevent them from maintaining order, despite regular cleaning.

Gelsamina explained that you can not even dream of order if those that are never used or are rarely removed are stored in a closet with the right things. She advised to immediately divide clothes and shoes into seasonal and non-seasonal. Those things that fall into the second category need to be thrown away, given away or put away for storage.

Out-of-season things, the expediency of storing which is doubtful, Gelsamina does not advise to throw away — in any locality there are many people who will gladly accept them as a gift. In extreme cases, clothes can be handed over to the H & M store, where they organize the collection of unnecessary things or ask friends if they need these clothes.

In order for the stacks of things not to collapse, the author of the thread advises to purchase such organizers on Aliexpress

All the things left after careful selection, the girl recommends sorting by categories: outerwear, accessories, shoes, underwear, home clothes, socks and stockings. Everything that does not fall into these categories is divided into two groups: things that can be stored on hangers and things that are contraindicated (for example, knitwear). This also includes T-shirts, hoodies and jeans - they are placed on shelves.

In her next tweets, the girl suggested replacing the chairs loved by many of us with multi-level hangers and racks for clothes. Gelsamina stressed that such structures are more spacious and, unlike a chair, things do not crumple on them. Is it worth saying additionally that a rack with clothes looks much more neat than a chair with a bunch of clothes.Perfectionism in the closet: a girl taught Twitter users how to put things correctly

Gelsamina also noted that in a couple of weeks all the hangers will hang at random, but that's what's good. By the direction of the hooks, you can now identify unnecessary wardrobe items. They should be included in the list of clothes for a thorough revision — perhaps there will be "candidates" to be sent for storage.Separately, Gelsamina told how to store things that are not intended for hangers. They can be compactly folded and placed so that they do not take up much space.

Many of the interesting storage solutions are provided by the Aliexpress marketplace

Apparently, for many Twitter users, Gelsamina's information turned out to be very useful — people thanked the girl for the solutions offered to her. But there were also those among the commentators who rated the thread as not too applied.

For example, one of the Tweeters was confused by the size of the closet, on the example of which the girl explained the essence of her method. The user noted skeptically that most people live in apartments comparable in size to Gelsamina's closet. There were also those who doubted that the author of the thread from Russia - her desire for order is too great.
