Most users of social networks are confident in their impunity and therefore do not hesitate to express themselves. But it turns out that rudeness doesn't always get away with it. Two elderly residents of the Vologda region did not agree in their views in the comments in the VKontakte public. Their squabble in court ended, though with an unexpected decision.

After an unpleasant conversation online, a 71-year-old Russian woman sued the interlocutor, accusing her of insults. The pensioner estimated the damage at 50 thousand rubles. Her 64-year-old opponent did not remain in debt and immediately responded with a counterclaim, but already for 100 thousand rubles.

The Joint Press Service of the Vologda Oblast courts described the essence of the case as follows:

The fact of insults was established without much difficulty, because it is known that the Internet remembers everything. Taking into account the moral suffering suffered by each side, the court decided to recover compensation from the two women in favor of each other. By a court decision, they must pay 50 thousand rubles each.

In addition, the plaintiffs, they are the defendants, are obliged to reimburse the court costs and pay 300 rubles of state duty. Unfortunately, we do not know if the pensioner was satisfied with such a "Solomon's decision". It seems to us that they still counted on another triumph of justice, each on its own.

We can add from ourselves that fans of Internet battles got off easy. They hurled choice curses at each other and got away with it. American Jordan Branford was sentenced to 7 months in prison by a Dubai court for just one offensive word on Instagram.
