Their unusual union was forged when the two - both orphans - ended up in the same enclosure at a wildlife rescue center in Victoria, Australia. Anzac was rescued from starvation when he was only five months old. Usually, baby kangaroos spend about eight months in their mother's pouch, depending on the species, but Anzac was abandoned much earlier than expected. Now the two are inseparable.
