PictolicAlmost everyone has a can of stew. Just in case. What if the food suddenly runs out and you need to cook pasta quickly and add something there? And what? Of course, stew. Pasta in the navy is one of the fastest dishes, they are prepared at the dacha, on hikes, when there is no time, you don't want to waste your strength on cooking, and you need to have a hearty and delicious lunch.
But a can of stew is useful not only for pasta. It can also be used for other hearty and fast meals. We share simple recipes.
Before you cook something from stew, you need to buy it. And choose the right one. So that there is really good meat in the jar with a small amount of broth and fat.
The jar should say "beef (pork, horse meat, lamb, etc.) stewed." If something else is written on the bank, it is no longer a state standard.
Now the stew is produced according to GOST standards and technical conditions (TU), the latter are developed by the manufacturer for himself. If the name of the company is not familiar to you and has not proven itself well, then it is better to take the jar where it says "GOST". But at the same time, the word "GOST" in the brand name is not a guarantee of compliance with standards, it is a marketing lure. The mention of GOST should not be in the name, but in the description of the product.
In regions where animal husbandry is developed and meat is not too expensive, stew is better. For example, this applies to Belarus and Kaliningrad. Labeling is a delicate matter. If there is an "A" at the beginning of the labeling, it means that the manufacturer specializes in canned meat, if "O" or "R", then canned vegetables and fish are in priority.
