This girl could not speak, instead she howled, growled and generally behaved like a dog (sometimes even bit). In this form, she was discovered by social services workers after a neighbor complained to them about the strange behavior of the girl.
Now Oskana is 38 years old. She was able to master many human skills, but she did not completely get rid of dog habits either. And this is not at all surprising, given the kind of mental trauma she received as a child…
Oksana Malaya was born on November 4, 1983, in the village of Novaya Blagoveshchenka. The girl's parents were unreliable people, to put it mildly. Both father and mother were constantly drinking. Later, doctors said that it was only by a miracle that a completely healthy daughter was born to alcoholics. And the girl had every chance to grow into a fully capable person, if not for one "but".
One day, the parents, who didn't really care about Oksana anyway, forgot her in the yard at all, and they themselves went into the house and locked the door. The child was about 3 years old at that time. It was winter outside, it was very cold, and the baby, in search of warmth, climbed into the doghouse where their dog Naida lived. There she sat all day, and then another day, another and another…
If you believe the rumors, the parents decided that it was even better for them: the child did not get in the way and entertained himself. All Oksana's attempts to enter the house were severely suppressed by her alcoholic father. Therefore, the girl had no choice but to continue to sit in the kennel with the dog, share a modest ration, overnight accommodation with her and adopt her behavior skills.
The dog's "upbringing" soon led to the fact that the girl began to bark, growl, crawl on all fours and even "comb out fleas", as befits a real dog. And due to the fact that her family was dysfunctional, uncommunicative and generally withdrawn, no one ever went to visit them and did not even suspect what was going on there.
But one day a Mowgli girl barked at one of the neighbors, and she immediately turned to the social service. And so it became known about the grief-parents and the unfortunate child whose life they ruined. Oksana was found in a terrible state: she growled, barked, bit, ran on all fours... it seemed that an 8-year-old girl did not understand human speech at all.
The girl was taken to a boarding school for children with disabilities, where specialists began working with her. The staff of the shelter admitted that they had never encountered such a thing before. They had to teach Oksana literally everything: sleep on the bed, eat with a spoon, fork, wash, brush teeth… All this was new and unfamiliar to the girl.
Only after many years of hard work, Oksana managed to teach "basic" human skills. In addition, Malaya mastered human speech, reading, writing and mathematics. However, it did not work out completely to get rid of the dog's habits. Oksana herself later admitted in an interview that she can bark and bite when someone offends her.
Malaya stayed at a boarding school until she came of age. After that, the girl first wanted to return to her father (by the way, he was not against it), but then she settled in a neuropsychiatric boarding school in a neighboring village. There Oksana became interested in caring for animals, especially she liked horses and cows. Several documentaries were made about the unusual girl, she participated in TV programs more than once.
When the girl was 25 years old, she had a fiance named Fedor. This guy from Kazan found out about Oksana on TV and even came to visit her several times. However, she eventually broke up with him, saying that he was too short. Now Oksana lives at a neuropsychiatric dispensary, works at a stable, receives a salary and does not want to change anything in her life.
