The project was named Summit One Vanderbilt. Visitors will be lifted up the building to a height of about 370 meters by a transparent glass elevator. Such a ride in the elevator is an exciting adventure in itself!
And just below (at an altitude of 324 m) there are transparent boxes protruding from the building with the telling name "Levitation" – they seem to be suspended above Madison Avenue and from there you can very well see New York from a bird's-eye view.
For those who want to enjoy the views in a less "adrenaline" environment, there will be a cafe-bar on the terrace. There will also be grocery stores and "the highest urban outdoor alpine meadow in the world."
The 77-story, $ 3.3 billion tower is located next to Central Station. It is the tallest building (427 meters) in the center of Manhattan. In general, it is the fourth highest in New York.
The observation deck is scheduled to open to visitors at the end of October.
As New York City begins to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, the opening of such an attraction and tourist attraction is very timely.
