Spartak Moscow will finally have its own home. Otkritie Arena will be the second stadium to open in Russia over the past month. As at the Kazan Arena, matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held there.

In Soviet times, Spartak was dubbed the "people's" team, since it was not supervised by any ministry or department. Largely because of this, she never had her own stadium. "Arena" appeared thanks to the perseverance of the chairman of the board of directors of "Spartak" Leonid Fedun. He agreed to allocate land on the site of the Tushino airfield, and also allocated money for construction. The stadium was supposed to be commissioned by 2010, but due to the financial crisis, the deadlines had to be shifted.

However, FIFA and UEFA rules prohibit arenas from having a sponsored name, so during the 2018 World Cup and European Cups, the stadium will continue to be called Spartak.

Alexander Shishlo is sure that it is impossible to pull out the installed chairs.
