Engaged couples are usually up to their necks with wedding invitations, future plans, and bridal outfits, so they hardly have time for old hobbies, let alone new ones. But looking at 43-year-old Don Akim and 33-year-old Roseanne Beckett, you understand that this is not an ordinary couple. Just 4 months ago, this couple started bodybuilding together, and today they have already become the first couple to win the World Bodybuilding Championship! At the tournament in Miami, they earned as many as three awards, beating more than 200 competitors. Here is a couple!

1. Four months before the championship, this couple spent 14 hours a week at the local gym. “The judges didn’t even realize that we were together, and when we told them, they were very surprised.”

2. “Rosanna won first, and I was very happy for her. I had to spend a few nervous minutes before my name was called."

3. The couple met at a nightclub in Norwich 8 years ago. Love came suddenly. Both of them have always been interested in fitness and a healthy lifestyle, and this year they have reached the pinnacle of bodybuilding."

4. “I found the contest via the Internet,” says dancer and loving mother Roseanne. “It seems I was looking for a new diet for the summer season.”

5. “I saw the contestants and I thought I wanted to look the same, so I signed up to participate. I also signed up Don - he didn't seem to mind."

6. Don received two prizes as the best bodybuilder in the category A and in the category "those who are over 40." Rosanna took with her the award as the best Miss Bikini.

7. Now Don and Rosanna are planning to participate in other competitions.

8. “We're already into it,” Rosanna says. “Now it’s all about keeping fit. I always remember that my body will not always be as beautiful as it is now, so I want to take everything from it.”

9. Don and Rosanna always support each other in everything.

10. “Going to the gym is a stress reliever and it helps our relationship. If we have a fight, we go to the gym and come back in a great mood.”

11. "We don't often go out together because someone always has to stay at home with our daughter Carmen."

12. “When I realized that I had won, I had to hold back because Don had not yet been announced. It would be sad if one of us won and the other didn't,” Rosanna says.
