Moved to tears: the granddaughter put on her grandmother's dress for the wedding, which is more than half a century old

On her wedding day, 23-year-old Jordyn Jensen from Boise, Idaho, was wearing the same long-sleeved lace dress as her grandmother Penny Jensen at her own wedding 55 years ago.

The bride made a surprise for grandma at the rehearsal of the wedding dinner. All the most exciting moments were captured that day by photographer Courtney Peterson (Kortney Peterson).

Penny's grandmother did not know about this cunning plan of her granddaughter until the wedding rehearsal.

When the 74-year-old woman saw her granddaughter in her outfit, she could not hold back her tears. Unfortunately, the elderly lady has been widowed for a long time, but at that touching moment she remembered her marriage.

The bride admitted that her grandmother was "just speechless."

"It was an absolutely beautiful moment, while everything was quiet," says the photographer. "And tears of happiness and emotion rolled down everyone's cheeks."

Once my grandmother wanted to donate her dress to donations, but her granddaughter did not allow it. She fell in love with the outfit at first sight. No one even suspected that once a girl stole a dress and kept it in her closet in anticipation of her own wedding day.

During the filming, the clear sky suddenly became overcast and a downpour began, which the family perceived as tears of joy of the deceased grandfather of the bride.

"We all saw sweet tears falling from the sky in the rain," the photographer said. — The bride's grandfather died many years ago, and it looked like he was there with his wife, watching Jordyn wear a dress from their wedding. Everything was really beautiful."

According to photographer Courtney Peterson, the bride in her grandmother's dress looked like a princess, and its design was in no way inferior to modern dresses.
