NOP World, a market research company, analyzed the global “media habits” of people, that is, how much time they spend watching TV screens, listening to the radio, using computers and the Internet (for reasons not related to work), and reading. Based on these data, we have compiled a ranking of the most reading countries in the world. The results will surprise you!

Interestingly, on average, every week around the world, people spend 16.6 hours watching TV, 8 hours listening to the radio, 6.5 hours reading, and 8.9 hours using computers and the Internet (for reasons unrelated to work).

7th place was taken by Russia. On average, Russians read 7.1 hours a week. This is a high figure that exceeds the global average of 6.5 hours. (Photo: Sergey Ponomarev/flickr.com).
Such high readability is facilitated by dynamically developing bookselling networks, such as Bukvoed, which today is an innovator in the Russian book industry. Booked is not only bookstores selling children's literature and books for adults, but also book clubs, a cafe for book lovers, an online store, a radio, as well as a unique print-on-demand book printing service.

Interestingly, Russians spend an average of 8.9 hours a week on computers and on the Internet (which is in line with the global average), 15 hours watching TV and 6.6 hours listening to the radio.
