Model who lost her leg to cancer as a child is accused of simulation

Cherie Louise, 29, from New Zealand, had her left leg amputated due to cancer. It happened when she was 6 years old and was necessary to save her life. Cherie has faced cruelty all her life and nothing has changed, even when the girl became a famous model.

At the age of 6, Cherie Louise was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The doctors called the complete amputation of the left leg and part of the pelvis the only way out. This is a very complex operation, which excludes the use of any known prostheses in the future. As a child, Cherie had to overcome many difficulties that most people have no idea about.

Louise tried her best not to be different from her peers. There were no people without legs around and she saw her fellow sufferers only on TV. She says that such exclusivity made her unhappy and made her constantly suffer and cry.

But then, at the age of 16, the girl realized that she was going the wrong way. It all started with the fact that the girl saw a photo of an amputee model on the Internet. Cherie realized that she wanted to be successful and independent like her. At first, the girl went to model school, and then moved to Australia, to Melbourne.

Cherie Louise became a model and began to use her disability as positively as possible. The girl signed the first contract with the Bluebella underwear brand, and later others appeared.

Now she cooperates with well-known brands Bluebella and Modibodi, and also maintains an Instagram account. It seems that with the advent of success, the trolls should have been silenced, but it was not there. Cherie continues to face almost daily insults and ridicule related to her peculiarity.

If earlier haters shouted that Cherie was good for nothing, now it's the opposite. The girl is accused of actively using her disability to achieve goals. There are also those who claim that the model will photoshop her pictures by removing one foot on them.

"It's weird and wild, but some users consider me a malingerer. They are sure that I purposely remove one foot in the photo editor so that the pictures arouse more interest."

Cherie Louise says there have been cases where her photos have been thoroughly researched. Experts even found a "reflection of a photoshopped foot" on the floor and rejoiced at it like children. The model does not react to this acutely as in childhood, but says that the attacks upset her.

There are a lot of people who have achieved success in life despite their disability. The fact that they irritate absolutely healthy mediocre people is quite natural.
