Man-made marvel in Dubai desert: the Lake of Love

From Palm Islands to the highest skyscrapers in Dubai there is no shortage of attractions, famous all over the world, but in the desert, in the area most populous city of the United Arab Emirates, there are many wonderful places to discover. One such place is a hidden gem — the "Lake of Love".

About 700 metres from the artificial lakes of the al-Kudra, popular attractions in the district of al-Marama in the desert Sah-al-Salam, about the resort Bab al Shams in 2018, a new feature was added – two of the lakes created in the form of two connected hearts.

Lake of Love — it's two lakes in the form of intertwined hearts, located near the oasis of al-kudra (Al Qudra Oasis). The enormous lake area of 550.000 square meters can be seen even from space.

Located at a considerable distance from the urban area, the lake of Love is a true oasis surrounded by desert stretching to the horizon.

From Dubai to the lakes al-kudra can be reached in just half an hour. People come here to spend time in the lap of nature: to organize a picnic with friends, go Cycling on specially laid for these purposes, trails, observe waterfowl 170 species.

One can only imagine how much time, effort and cost that went into creating such places in reality, especially given the hundreds of thousands of varieties of shrubs, more than 16 thousand trees and thousands of colorful flowers alongside the lake.

Love lake was opened to visitors in November 2018, and after crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum, has shared on his Instagram account an aerial view of the lake with the caption "All of you", it began to attract everyone's attention.

Although the lake of Love became the most popular middle Eastern destination for romantics, in order to truly appreciate its beauty, you need to look at it at least a height of 50 meters, otherwise all that is visible is a pond with a small border.
