Slava Stepanov aka gelio writes: "At the beginning of March I visited London. I have long wanted to see the city of red telephone booths and double-decker buses live. Initially, shooting London was not part of my plans, but I couldn't resist, and so a small post was born."

2. The Palace of Westminster — meetings of the British Parliament are held here.

3. Big Ben. Actually, "Big Ben" is the largest bell in the clock mechanism. By the decision of the British Parliament, the tower has been renamed Elizabeth Tower since September 2012, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

5. There are just over 30 bridges across the Thames in London, of which 12 are located in the central part of the city.

7. More than 11 thousand tons of steel were needed only for the construction of towers and pedestrian galleries. In order to better protect the metal structure from corrosion, the towers were lined with stone, the architectural style of the structure is defined as Gothic.
