Little twin pandas were shown to the public for the first time in Macau

Categories: Animals

Two adorable twin cubs of a big panda have appeared before the public for the first time in Macau, China. The little male pandas were born on June 26. Now, a month later, they were seen by visitors to the city's Big Panda Pavilion. The babies are called Dabao and Xiaobao, which means "big treasure" and "little treasure" in Chinese. Their mother is a nine—year-old panda Xingxing, which the Chinese authorities presented to the city in 2014.

At birth, one of the twins weighed 135 grams, and the second — 53.8 grams. Specialists of the panda center watched the smaller cub and fed it manually so that it would get strong enough and survive. For the month since the birth of the little twin pandas, visitors gathered, including many children who sang "Happy Birthday!". The event attracted the attention of local media.
