Lion cubs quarreled with a cheetah

Categories: Africa | Animals

There are two irreconcilable enemies in the savannah - the lion and the cheetah. Both have undeniable advantages. The king of animals is stronger than the cheetah, but at the same time, the cheetah is much more agile and faster than its opponent.

British photographer Zane Engelbrecht witnessed an unusual scene - two young lionesses decided to show an adult cheetah who is the boss in the house. To do this, they used a cunning hunting tactic: they took the cheetah into the ring, but he managed to escape from the encirclement and run away. Cheetahs are capable of running at speeds of up to 114 kilometers per hour, while lions are only 57.

The photos were taken during a safari in South Africa, near the Limpopo River.

Zane Engelbrecht, 25, is originally from Zimbabwe but now lives in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England. Zane earns by participating in safari as a guide and consultant.
