Lion and dachshunds - an unusual friendship

A huge lion and a miniature dachshund have become best friends. It is not surprising, because the dachshund came out of a lion cub when he was very small. Bondigger, a 5-year-old lion, and Milo, a 7-year-old dachshund, are so close that the dog helps his best friend brush his teeth after eating.

1. The dog protected the lion when he was very young, and now Bondigger does not leave her step.

3. They live in a private zoo for exotic animals in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, USA.

4. Bondigger was born with a congenital bone disease that leaves him slightly paralyzed.

5. Then Milo and two other dachshunds took him under their wing.

6. Park manager John Reinke, 43, witnessed this unusual union.

7. “This friendship between a 5kg dachshund and a 226kg lion is unique,” he says.
