Lil Bab's cat died, touching millions of users with her muzzle

Lil Bab, one of the world's most famous cats and the heroine of numerous Internet memes, has died in the USA. She was born with a rare genetic disorder — dwarfism, which is why she had an unusual funny face and the size of a kitten. The cat left this world at the age of 8, which, with her illness, can be considered quite an advanced age.

Lil Bab was born on June 21, 2011 in Bloomington, Indiana and, in addition to dwarfism, suffered from a number of concomitant serious ailments, such as osteoporosis and abnormalities of internal organs. It was this complex of deviations that gave the cat that funny enthusiastic expression of the muzzle that made it popular.

Animal from Indiana was the second cat to become famous on the Internet, after Grumpy Cat, who died in May 2019. Lil Bab's popularity peaked in 2012, when she became an Instagram star with millions of followers from all over the world.

During her short feline life, Lil Bab managed to do a lot. She starred in several films and music videos, "wrote" a book about her life. The cat was filmed in the TV series "Lil Bab and Friends", which received a prestigious award at the Tribeca Film Festival, held annually in Tribeca, New York.
