Hrant Dink, editor of Turkish-Armenian newspaper who was not afraid to speak directly to regarding the refusal of Turkey to recognize the Armenian genocide, was accused of "insulting Turkish identity" and 19 January 2007 was killed by a 17-year-old Turkish nationalist.
