In 2015, a whole line of smart small household appliances was released that can be controlled via a smartphone from anywhere in the world. The line included various devices: from an Internet iron to a smart heater.

In 2016, the assortment was replenished with smart sockets and smart plinths - they turn any household electrical appliances into smart ones, from a heater to an ordinary light bulb. Well, on the way - special cat collars Redmond SkyCat, which will simplify the life of pets and their owners. It will be possible to control the “smart cat” from the same Ready for Sky application, which is needed to control all Redmond smart appliances.
It is promised that even stupid cats will become "smart" with the new invention of Redmond.
In appearance, the Redmond SkyCat is a simple collar, weighing only 30 grams and about a centimeter thick. But the functionality that opens up to the user is incredible. There are a number of standard elements of a smart collar: a built-in camera with the possibility of online broadcasting, a GPS module and a laser pointer for playing with a pet. And they are complemented by several unique elements.
Monitoring the position of the cat - is it worth ...

... or lies. All this displays a 3D model.
Cat health monitoring. The sensor checks the cat's temperature (without the use of rectal thermometers), respiratory rate and pulse. If the testimony is suspicious, the owner will be notified.
Cat mood monitoring. It's no secret that cats raised in a human family, just like people, convey emotions with facial expressions: the owner can easily understand whether his pet is angry or pleased.
To recognize facial expressions, a special transparent imperceptible gel is applied to the cat's face, which allows the sensors in the collar to track the expression of the cat's face and display its mood on the screen - cheerful, sad, angry, in love, sleepy.
Life cycle timers. Redmond SkyCat remembers the time of meals and trips to the toilet and displays the approximate time until the moment when the cat wants to eat or visit the restroom again.
Pedometer and calorie counter. Useful for obese cats to track daily activity and calories in/burned out.
Sleep monitoring. Calculates the total number of hours a cat spends sleeping each day. Just like that, the owner is envious.
Skoda sensor. The collar will track the cat's pranks - ripping up wallpaper or furniture, biting into plastic bags, licking food in the kitchen and deliberately felting on black woolen things. As soon as the camera detects the cat's bad behavior, you will receive a notification and you can contact the cat yourself using the built-in microphone or activate one of the voice notifications. So far, among the pre-installed curses, there are only three: “Aya-yay!”, “Come on!” and "Bad kitty!".
Among the experimental features (which are still undergoing laboratory research) is the ability to calm an overly excited cat or cheer up an overly lethargic one. In the first case, a recording of the purring of a mother cat lulling the kittens to sleep is broadcast to the pet through the speaker in the collar. In the second, the inviting meow of March cats and cats craving activity.
The Redmond invention will suit many categories of users - professional cat breeders, ordinary people who are in love with their pet, strong independent women who do not have time to control all their cats with conventional means, and Tamagotchi lovers. The start of sales is scheduled for April 1, 2017. In the near future, it is planned to start developing similar devices for dogs, hamsters and domestic fish.
