The winners of the annual iPhone Photography Awards 2021 (IPPAWARDS) competition have been announced in New York. This is an independent award, which involves the authors of the best pictures from around the world taken on an iPhone, presented in 18 nominations.

The winners of this year's competition were representatives of 17 countries, from Romania to Bangladesh. They were selected from thousands of images sent by iPhone photographers from more than 140 countries.

Among the winners there is a participant from Russia. It was Tatyana Merzlyakova from Moscow, who took a picture of the Northern Lights in the Murmansk Region on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, who won in the Travel category:

Photojournalist Istvan Kerekesh from Romania became the photographer of the year for the photo "Transylvanian Shepherds" taken on an iPhone 7:

Sharan Shetty from India took a picture on his iPhone of a man with his horse, where they comfort each other. The picture was taken in Azerbaijan and was called "Svyaz":
