49-year-old Judy Perkins with breast cancer in the last stage was cured by injections made from the patient's own lymphocytes. The mother of two children underwent seven courses of different types of chemotherapy, which did not help her. In 2003, when she was just diagnosed, Judy had a double mastectomy (mammary glands were removed), but in 2013 the cancer returned in an even more aggressive form and spread to other organs. In particular, there were fist-sized tumors in the woman's liver. She had several months to live. She was already ready for death and made a list of places she would like to see before her death.

Until today, there was no known treatment method that would cure cancer in the terminal stage with the defeat of so many organs. But thanks to the experimental treatment of scientists from the American National Cancer Research Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Judy Perkins has completely recovered from cancer and has been leading an active lifestyle for two years now.

Scientists used the so-called Adoptive cell transfer method, removed the tumor from the breast and examined it at the genetic level to determine those mutations of proteins that can make cancer "visible" to the immune system so that lymphocytes provide the production of antibodies.

In the USA, for the first time, a woman with terminal cancer was cured, who had several months to live 62 genetic abnormalities were found in Judy Perkins' tumor sample. And scientists were able to use four of them so that the body began to recognize cancer. Then the doctors identified specific lymphocytes in Perkins' blood that are capable of attacking cancer cells. They were multiplied to 82 billion and injected the resulting army of white cells into the patient's body.

In the USA, for the first time, a woman with terminal cancer was cured, who had several months to live "I was extremely skeptical about this treatment, because I knew that there was very little chance of success," Judy shared. "But two weeks after the start of treatment, I felt that the tumors in my chest were decreasing and I felt better."

After six weeks, the woman's tumor decreased by 51 percent. After eight, it completely disappeared.

"Scientists may call it remission, but I call it a cure."

In the USA, for the first time, a woman with terminal cancer was cured, who had several months to live Dr. Steven Rosenberg, a leading specialist of the team of doctors, said: "The patient came to us in a desperate situation after all the methods of treatment were tried. The breakthrough lies in the fact that a way has been found to identify T cells that will target genetic mutations. But the most important thing is that we use the patient's cells to attack his own cancer. We're talking about the most personalized treatment imaginable."

22 months have passed since Judy Perkins' immunotherapy. Now she is 52 years old, the woman leads an active lifestyle, goes hiking and kayaking. No traces of cancer were found in Judy's body.
