On December 5, LA Daily News published an article about residents of the Santiago Estates area whose homes were damaged by fire. In social networks, the material was illustrated with a photo of a guy who takes out an Xbox console from the smoke. The spectacular picture became a topic for jokes and photojabs.
The hero of the picture drew attention to the report and explained on Twitter: "They filmed me carrying my ass with an Xbox in my hands. These were things that I took out at the last moment." The post went viral and gained 260 thousand likes. The guy wrote to the publication that he wants to get money for the picture.

The replays on Twitter began to joke about the situation.
On Reddit, the picture provoked a photojab battle.
On December 7, Xbox Live program director Larry Hryb addressed the hero of the picture: "I'm glad that everything is fine with you. Can you follow me so that I can write to you in person? Thank you." On the same day, Robert hinted that the photo might actually be staged: "I'm still thinking about telling you what the story behind this picture is."
