By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/in-california-a-shaman-boiled-bear-urine-and-started-a-huge-forest-fire.htmlThousands of residential buildings in the US state of California are again threatened by a forest fire. This time, a woman with no fixed place of residence, calling herself a shaman, is to blame. An American woman with the Russian name Alexandra Souverneva claims that she set fire to the forest by negligence – she could not cope with the fire when ... boiling bear urine.
A 30-year-old US citizen, Alexandra Suverneva, is accused of setting fire to the forest, but she assures the police that she did not want to cause trouble, but simply "cooked bear urine for drinking." A woman calling herself a shaman has been arrested and, according to the most modest forecasts, faces 9 years in prison. Suverneva stubbornly denies her guilt, which is obvious to the police.
Now 11 fires are raging in California, which have already destroyed 40 households. More than 2,000 people have been evacuated from the danger zone and in the near future rescuers will have to organize resettlement in several more districts of the state. The forest fire caused by Suverneva is one of the most powerful and it threatens thousands of homes.
The shaman told the police that she did not plan to start a fire, but just tried to survive. Alexandra couldn't find a water source, so she decided to drink a liquid similar to bear urine from a puddle. In order to disinfect the life-giving moisture, the "survivor" decided to boil it on a fire.
When making a fire, the woman was careless and because of this, grass and bushes caught fire around. When Alexandra was completely surrounded by fire, she called 911 and called the fire department. Later, the police also arrived, who found several carbon dioxide cans, a lighter and suspicious dried grass in the bag in the pockets and bag of Suverneva.
The woman told police officers that she was heading to Canada on foot and was not going to start a fire. But the information in the database of law enforcement officers suggests that Suverneva has already come to the attention of the police of the United States and other countries in connection with arson. The shaman's lawyer denies malicious intent in her actions and claims that mental illness or the effects of narcotic drugs are to blame for everything.
As for urine, people who lead a nomadic lifestyle often use this liquid for various purposes. For example, travelers Miriam and Peter wash their hair with it, instead of shampoo.
