Together with the Norwegian Red Cross and the advertising agency POL, IKEA installed a model of a Syrian dwelling with an area of 25 square meters in the store. The installation titled "25 square meters of Syria" is an exact replica of the house in Damascus where a woman named Rana and her family of nine people live.

"When we had to flee to this area for safety, we didn't have the money to rent a better house. We didn't have the money to buy mattresses and blankets or clothes for the children," Rana told the Red Cross team.

In the Syrian house there are recognizable IKEA price tags, on which, instead of describing the goods, there are stories of Syrians who have to face daily shortages of food, water and medicines. Each tag also contains information on how to donate funds to the victims of the war in Syria.
