Japanese food is incredibly popular these days. Sushi bars appear at every turn, rolls and sushi are ordered at home or they are happy to make them themselves. But did you know that the process of eating sushi is also regulated by a strict code of etiquette? You can’t just take it and put the roll in your mouth! We offer you the basic rules that you should follow when you go to a sushi bar.

1. Sushi and rolls should be taken with chopsticks…

8. Don't poke people with sticks. However, as well as knives, forks or spoons.
9. In soy sauce, sushi should be dipped with the side with which the fish is located.
10. And not the side where the rice is. The rice is seasoned and the soy sauce will kill all the flavor.
11. Don't go overboard with wasabi.
12. Don't make soup with wasabi and soy sauce. It kills the delicate taste of the dish.
13. Sushi and rolls are eaten in one bite. Gaga knows.
14. Don't put ginger on sushi before eating it. Ginger is eaten between meals to cleanse the taste buds.
15. Appreciate the beauty created by the chef. Even in Japan, not all the rules for eating sushi are known, but rule number one: appreciate what they brought you.
