The project was done by Pittsburgh-based graphic designer and researcher Nikolai Lamm. He used 3D computer simulations to show how the ideal male shape has changed over the past 150 years.
10 PHOTOS
1.1870s - Fat Club.
2. Today, an unsportsmanlike figure may even indicate the low income and inability to go to the gym. But earlier, obese men were considered attractive, and, in general, being overweight spoke of abundance and abundance of food.
3.330s - muscular mesomorph.
4. An example is Clark Gable, an American actor, movie star, and sex symbol of the 1930s and 1940s.
5. the 1960s - skinny rockers.
6. Example, Mick Jagger. In the 1960s, beautiful bodies weren't that important. Young Americans and some not-so-young people relied on clothes and long hair rather than their bodies. This is how they expressed their individuality and sexuality.
7. the 1980s - a mountain of muscle.
8. Example - Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the 1970s, instead of expressing themselves in political activity and protest, as in the 1960s, young people are engaged in improving their bodies.
9.From the 1990s to the present - the perfect body.
10. Example - Brad Pitt. It looks great but is not a mountain of muscle. He has great abs and muscular arms. And it is about such a figure that most men dream.
