Photographer Mei Xiu took these mesmerizing shots during her trip to Yosemite National Park, USA. The rays of the sun, refracted in the water spray, created a beautiful play of light.

This beautiful and at the same time frightening waterfall is located in the National Park of California (USA) – Yosemite. It is called Horsetail Fall (Horse Tail). Just a few days in February, you can see with your own eyes a rare phenomenon-the reflection of the rays of the setting sun in the falling stream of the waterfall. The waterfall turns a fiery orange. This waterfall is located on the eastern slope of Mount El Capitan.

The Horsetail Fall waterfall is two flowing streams with a height of about 480 m. The total height of the waterfall is 650 meters. The best place to shoot is the north road leading to the Yosemite Valley, east of Mount El Capitan.

What looks like hot lava flowing down from the top of the mountain is actually an amazing visual deception of nature itself – the rays of the sunset falling on the waterfall. But this is only until February, when instead of water, a fire "carved by the sun" breaks down from the rocks. It is at this time that photographers and travelers gather on the northern approach to Mount El Capitan to capture this natural wonder.

Horsetail Falls is located in the spurs of the Sierra Nevada Range, west of Lake Tahoe in the El Dorado County desert. It falls in stages from a height of more than 150 meters, and can be reached on foot by heading north of the Twin Bridges Bridge.
