As soon as the mother saw her son, she immediately abandoned him. The child was born with Treacher-Collins syndrome, which disfigured his face and left almost no chance of a full life. But Jono, despite a serious illness, was born a winner, so he achieved more in this life than many healthy guys.
Treacher-Collins syndrome stops the development of the baby's facial bones in the womb. Because of this, those suffering from this pathology have no cheekbones, the corners of the eyes are strongly lowered down, and hearing is impaired. At the same time, the disease does not affect the mental development of a person.
Jono was lucky and did not live long with the status of a rejected child. The boy was adopted by a woman named Jean Lancaster, who gave him everything that parents can give to their beloved son. At school, no one wanted to be friends with Jono, and the children laughed at him, but at home, the boy received full attention and communication, which he lacked outside the house.
Despite everything, Jono Lancaster did not get angry at the world around him, but grew up to be a kind and cheerful guy with a sociable character. It was not easy to find a job with his appearance, but it helped that Jono was offered a job in a bar, where he often went to sit for a cup of tea or a glass of beer.
The owner of the establishment saw that many of his visitors come to the bar just for the sake of communicating with a cheerful guy with an unusual appearance. While at the bar, Lancaster met his fate. The young visitor could not resist the charm of Jono and they began to meet.
Soon, Jono discovered the world of sports. He earned a degree in physical education in college and began to work hard on himself. The guy understood that his face will never be as attractive as others, but fitness will help him become better than many. Intensive training in the gym quickly showed results and after a couple of years, Lancaster was offered a job as a fitness coach. The guy passed the training course, received a certificate and almost immediately became in demand in a new profession.
The simple manner of communication, good nature, desire to help and professionalism quickly made Jono one of the most sought-after specialists, first in his club, and then outside it. Now Jono Lancaster is a successful young man who not only trains other people, but also works as a motivator with those who, like him, were born special.
Jono continues to date the same girl from the bar and soon the couple plans to get married. The story of Lancaster is loved by journalists, so he is a frequent guest on various programs and shows. His example is inspiring and shows that even if everything is absolutely bad for you, it does not mean that it will continue forever. You need to believe in the best and work hard on yourself – then no syndrome can break you.
