Heavenly Fashion: how flight attendants dress in different countries

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/heavenly-fashion-how-flight-attendants-dress-in-different-countries.htmlAirlines pay no less attention to the clothes of flight attendants than to the selection of candidates for such a prestigious position. Any company strives in every way to stand out and be remembered by passengers. And an unusual shape is an option that is not only convenient for many ideological embodiments, but also pleasant for the girls themselves.
The most popular "tactical" move is the stylization of the uniform under the traditional clothes of the country. Thus, the historical connection with China was embodied in the appearance of Hong Kong Airlines flight attendants, which resembles a modern version of the Chinese qipao dress.
And Air India dresses its flight attendants in natural silk saris. At the same time, the outfit has several options: with a bare belly, which is familiar for domestic lines, and more closed — for flights to other countries, where excessive frankness can confuse passengers.
For Muslim countries, the iconic element is the headdress. One of the most famous forms is that of Emirates Airlines, a company from the United Arab Emirates. A strict beige suit, a scarlet cap on his head, a white scarf under it. And also a bag and shoes to match the maroon color and bright red lipstick, which should always be on the lips. It is believed that the flight attendants of this company have some of the strictest requirements. So, the absence of the mentioned lipstick can lead to a reprimand.
However, there are cases when airlines turn to other popular things in their country for inspiration. For example, the flight attendants of the American Hooter have a uniform that resembles the outfits of cheerleaders from high schools. And the French Air France stood out by dressing its flight attendants in an ensemble from the famous fashion designer Christian Lacroix: a deep dark blue suit color, mandatory white stripes on the cuffs and a bright accent - a red belt. All together — an example of the elegant style inherent in French women.
But the Vietnamese low-cost airline VietJet went the furthest, dressing flight attendants in bikinis as part of an advertising campaign in 2011. Since then, the heavenly ladies appear in negligee on special flights, and VietJet is about to overtake the main carrier - Vietnam Airlines by capitalization.
