By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/have-fun-working-class-how-ordinary-americans-relax.htmlEvery year thousands of people come to the "Redneck Yacht Club" in Southwest Florida to spend a few days in tents with picnics, drinking and riding ATVs, pickups or trucks in the mud.
Brooklyn photographer Wesley Mann captured this annual event taking place on an area of 3.5 square kilometers in the place of Punta Gorda, which is also known as the Redneck Mud Park. Everyone who wants to spend time there must make an advance payment.
In addition, there are almost no other rules on the territory. According to the photographer, striptease poles, chain saws, firearms and illegal drugs are prohibited there.
Mann describes the environment as intimidating at times, but says he often pulled himself together so as not to be prejudiced against visitors to the mud park. The park is full of people during the summer patriotic holidays, for example, on the Day of Commemoration of those Killed in Wars (May 30) or on Independence Day, when visitors of all ages come.

ATVs are very popular in the park. A guy with a bare torso poses in front of a photographer, standing on an ATV.
Mud tracks on the territory of the "Redneck Yacht Club" are also very popular: visitors drive along them on their ATVs, pickups, jeeps and trucks.
Many visitors like to show off their huge pickups, dissecting them across the endless mud expanses.
The Redneck Yacht Club attracts people of all ages and both sexes, even women with children.
Women in the park also ride quad bikes.
When trucks drive through puddles, mud splashes everywhere, including on Confederate flags.
Some people like to chat under pickups, which are raised and tuned until they become very high.

Some wear masks, like this man, for example.

The park is as lively at night as it is during the day. People get together in the company to continue the fun.
