Frozen movement in the photographs of Ravshania Azule

Categories: Photo project

Young Tashkent photographer Ravshania Uzule works in different styles. But her calling card was photographs, the movement of which seemed to have stopped. Shooting one such work takes Ravshania four to five hours, and retouching can take several days.

Reluctantly giving an interview, Ravshania seems to be saying that her works will tell about the complex surreal world much better than any words. Critics scold her for excessive "staging". And we can only look at the beautiful stopped moments, where everyday things take on a new meaning, and habitual movements take on a strange symbolism.
