Not all school years seem to be the best. Some children, unfortunately, face ridicule. Anything can serve as an excuse: taller than everyone in the class, too smart, too quiet. Most of all, those who are the victims of bullying want to wipe the nose of the offenders - and some succeed.
At one time, the British Jessica Geigen was also considered “not like that”. But she, like in the best films for teenagers, grew up, and made all her classmates regret their mistakes. She not only grew up and became a beauty, but also received national recognition at one of the largest beauty contests in the country.
1. Difficult childhood
Jessica Geigen remembers her childhood well. When she was in high school in the English county of Lancashire, her peers considered her an outsider because of ... unusual bright red hair. The children called her names, threw things at her, and even spat after her. The girl admits that it was a painful and very difficult period in her life.
2. Experience that makes you stronger
“I was very upset about all this. I was ashamed of my past and tried not to think about it. I remember how during the break I went to hide in the toilet and ate lunch all alone because no one wanted to sit next to me, ”admits Jessica.
3. Non-feminine matter
Then Jessica entered the university, where she began to study aerospace engineering. Not the most typical profession for a girl, but the life of a red-haired beauty has always been full of surprises. Geigen immersed herself in the study of a difficult discipline and completed her master's degree.
4. Changeable opinion
During her student years, Jessica began to participate in beauty pageants. She has changed a lot - no one else dared to offend her because the beauty of the young British woman could only be admired.
5. Major victory
When Geigen was 26 years old, she became a participant in the main beauty pageant in the country - "Miss England". Jessica beat 30 rivals to win the coveted title in the final. A year before, she had already tried to get the crown but lost to other contestants.
6. A story to inspire
After the victory, the press began to show interest in the girl. When Jessica shared details of her life with reporters, they quickly turned it into a motivational story for other bullying teens.
7. Good purpose
Jessica herself also believes that her example can help other girls who, for some reason, do feel not self-confident enough.
8. Rare case
The title of "Miss England" is especially important to her. And not just because he helped build her confidence in her own beauty. It turned out that not once in the 94-year history of the competition did a red-haired participant win it.
9. British Beauty's new future
After Miss England, Jessica signed up with a modeling agency and is now doing charity work as a titled Miss England. However, this does not interfere with her studies - she still plans to work in the field of engineering.
