At the age of 17, Jamie was expelled from school. At that time, a drug dealer gave her a taste of heroin, and the girl got on the needle. Two years later, Miss Velet was arrested for attempted robbery. The money was needed for a new dose. In prison, she tried to commit suicide, but her cellmate managed to pull Jamie out of the loop in time. The drug addict lay in a coma for two days. Waking up, the prisoner realized that she needed to get out of this vicious circle.It was around then that Jamie met her new love, Jake. The guy was undergoing rehabilitation with her. This was another impetus for changes in life. Young people came to the boyfriend's parents, and they helped the girl recover by sending her to a 90-day hospital treatment.
Having given up drugs, Ms. Velet started working at a construction site a year later and decided to resume her studies at college. Now the couple is happy, the young people live together and have two dogs. They share their story to inspire other drug addicts to fight the addiction.
