However, the beloved characters we've known over the past few years have actually been around for much longer than we can imagine — in the comic book universe. The Marvel studio did a great job and brought them to life on the big screen, while adding some details to make the characters look more realistic (as much as possible in the case of superheroes).
Fans of the Avengers movies will be interested to find out what their favorite characters would look like if their creators were true to the original versions. The team at Looper, a superhero news resource, introduced and depicted them using photoshop.
