Features of the Canadian national fishing

Therefore, the organizers of the annual fishing derby on Lake Ontario Jennifer and Kevin Lavers came up with an extreme topless fishing. For the eighth year in a row, it has been gathering participants and spectators in their Merland Park resort.
The annual ice fishing competitions were held in the town of Picton on the shores of Lake Ontario, Canada.
The so-called fishing derby at the Merland Park Resort lasts the whole weekend and, in addition to fishing, includes numerous games and entertainment events, ice hockey and golf on ice and poker.
However, the highlight of the program invariably becomes bare—chested fishing, which the organizers call "Shirt Off - Fish On".
According to the rules of the competition, all participants prepare fishing rods, plant bait…
And then they strip down to their pants and wait for the first fish they catch.
Mostly men participate in the competitions, of course. However, it is not the first year that desperate women have been found among them. However, they are still not quite topless.
The winners get valuable prizes from sponsors: televisions, sets of golf clubs or, for example, an ice drill. This year's winner of the bare-chested fishing was Andrew Fitches from Ottawa.
Among the sponsors of the derby is the popular Canadian donut chain Tim Hortons, which holds its own, no less extreme competitions.
Participation in the derby, including accommodation in the resort, costs $ 300. And all the money earned in the process, the owners of Merland Park transfer to the foundation of the Kiwanis International charity program for children's development, which helps children set goals and achieve them.
