The pictures taken several years apart show a terrible difference in the appearance of the detainees — significant weight loss and multiple ulcers on the face and all over the body.
"We decided to publish mugshots of American residents in order for people to imagine what harm prohibited substances cause to the body of a drug addict. Thanks to these photos, you can see how dramatically the appearance of a person who has been using drugs for several years changes."
