Eric Kahan's Heavenly Pictures
Categories: Photo project
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/eric-kahans-heavenly-pictures.htmlThe "Heavenly Series" by American photographer Eric Cahan is an abstract minimalist shots of sunsets and sunrises. Color is the main advantage of Kahan's works, it changes depending on the time of day, flowing from gloomy tones to azure and vice versa. Sometimes the transition of shades is so subtle that it can barely be distinguished. The photographs represent a kind of celestial gradient, set by nature itself. And you don't need any computer graphics.
Eric uses up to four digital and film cameras at the same time to create his celestial photo pictures. Also in use are professional light filters, which are used by videographers.
Kahan made most of his works while traveling to different parts of the world. He signs each work: this is the time and place. Viewers see in these works his unique interpretation of a certain time and place. Of course, many people wonder if there is Photoshop in his photos?! Kahan uses this program, but in very small doses. He says that his goal of creating such photos is to capture light. Light creates the colors of nature, making it beautiful!
