Elusive femininity from photographer Nina Lin

Categories: North America

Nina Lin was one of the first female photographers of LIFE magazine and became famous thanks to a series of photo essays about the customs and customs of American society.

The photographer was born in the Russian Empire in 1909, but grew up in Europe, where she began to engage in animal photography. In 1939 Nina moved to the USA.

Funny teenage girls, sophisticated models, popular actresses and simple housewives who fell into her lens on the eve of the sexual revolution are perceived today as symbols of a bygone era of the last femininity.
