1. So far, the Tesla Model S remains the most successful model. However, now the monsters of the automotive industry, German companies, are getting down to business.
2. The Ingolstadt-based concern's first electric car will be the Audi R8 e-tron, which will go on sale in Europe next year.
3. It's hard to believe, but the Audi R8 e-tron is capable of accelerating to hundreds in 4.2 seconds, and two electric motors mounted on the rear axle have a power of 380 hp.
4. True, the maximum speed of the R8 e-tron is only 200 km/h. According to motor.ru, theoretically the car can accelerate to 250 km/h. The limitations are due to the fact that at high speeds the power consumption is too high.
5. Inside the Audi R8 e-tron looks traditional: despite the use of new revolutionary technologies, no futuristic design. And rightly so.
6. The weak point of electric cars is a low power reserve on a single battery charge. Here the Audi R8 e-tron is doing well. The results are worse than the Tesla (500 km), but you can’t call them bad: the Audi R8 e-tron can travel up to 450 km.
7. The BMW i3 electric car against the background of the Audi R8 e-tron is not so impressive: acceleration to hundreds in 7.2 seconds, top speed - 150 km / h, body length - only 3999 millimeters, like the Opel Corsa.
8. Unlike the Audi R8 e-tron, the BMW i3 is positioned as an urban hatchback. For such a car, its characteristics are just right.
9. BMW i3 will appear in Russia in September this year. It is already on sale in Europe and costs 35,000 euros there. The price in Russia has not yet been announced.
10. Similar specs to the Mercedes-Benz B-class Electric Drive, which went on sale in the US this spring for $42,375.
11. The power of the electric motor is 174 hp, the torque is 340 Nm. Accelerates to hundreds of Mercedes-Benz B-class Electric Drive in 7.9 seconds. The battery charge is enough for about 200 km.
12. Whether the Mercedes-Benz B-class Electric Drive will appear in other countries, including Russia, is still unknown.
