Dramatic footage of a lion hunting wildebeest

These dramatic shots were taken by 48-year-old Indian photographer Aditya Singh in the Masai Mara, located in southwestern Kenya. The ferocious lion dealt with the wildebeest in a vicious battle that lasted less than a minute.

The photographer capturing the dramatic moment first spotted the male lions lurking, patiently waiting for the injured wildebeest to walk towards them, unaware of their presence. When the wildebeest was within reach, one of the lions attacked the unfortunate animal. In just a few seconds, the lion knocked the wildebeest to the ground with a kick of his paw. And when the wildebeest tried to get up, the predator grabbed her with a death grip on the neck.
