Death on Instagram: a young Chinese woman documented her suicide

A young resident of Shanghai could not bear the rupture of relations with her boyfriend. To take revenge on her former lover, the girl decided to commit suicide. A Chinese woman under the nickname jojotsai1012 documented her every step on the road to suicide on Instagram. This spectacle is not for the faint of heart.

1. The suicide's neighbor confirmed in the comments that this is true: “It's true, we live in the same building, she died on Saturday morning. Whatever the case, how much courage does it take to kill yourself? I hope she finds peace in the afterlife." The sad story began about two weeks ago, when the girl began to publish photos with disturbing captions, in which her depression about the breakup with the guy was noticeable. Instead of raising the alarm and helping the girl, users simply liked and wrote meaningless comments.

2. “The last time my life is terrible,” wrote the suicide. “I want to forget about everything, take control of my mood and not cry at night from pain, but I can’t - I can’t do anything. It's all too unfair for me, I can't stand it." After that, she posted this photo - burning things right on the bed in the room. "Let it burn, everything will shatter into ashes."

3. After breaking up with a guy (here he is, in the photo) in early March, the poor girl could neither eat nor sleep. I could only cry all day. Under this photo, she wrote: "I never thought that you would deceive me, but I still love you."

4. She said that she dated other guys who were prettier and richer than him, but "my heart is not able to accept any of them." After that, the girl asked why he rejected her, giving her hope and promises that turned out to be "lies".

5. The girl published the first photo from a series of “post-mortem shots” on her Instagram on March 7th. Posting a photo of herself in her underwear, she wrote: “I have never done anything wrong to anyone. I cannot understand why I am subjected to such torment. For the past few weeks, I have been unable to recover from grief. I cried all night long. This is all very unfair, I don’t know how to bear it,” wrote a Chinese woman with the nickname jojotsai1012.

6. On the same evening, the 19-year-old girl posted a few more photos. One of them showed her brightly painted lips. “They will pursue him day and night,” the picture read.

7. In the next picture, you can see her legs hanging from the balcony. The girl made it clear to her subscribers that she was going to jump out of the window.

8. Nothing was known about the fate of the Shanghai resident until pictures from the suicide site appeared on the Web. They showed the body of a girl in red clothes, spread out on the roof, the same one that the girl was wearing in one of her last selfies before the jump.

“I can’t forgive, I never can until I die,” the girl wrote to her lover on the eve of her suicide. Despite this obvious depression, no one took seriously the girl's threat to commit suicide. The world remained indifferent to her suffering, and her cry for help went unheeded.
