Deadly tenderness of a predator: leopard and Impala
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/deadly-tenderness-of-a-predator-leopard-and-impala.htmlA visitor to Kruger National Park in South Africa took pictures of an interesting meeting between a leopard and an impala cub. In front of tourists, a huge predator stroked with its paw, gently nibbled and "flirted" with a small frightened impala. The dangerous caresses lasted about an hour…
The couple was photographed by a tourist and photographer Reynard Moolman, who just happened to be nearby when the predator began to show tenderness to the innocent little impala. She, meanwhile, stood rooted to the spot, afraid to move
According to the tourist, the impala looked quite calm, and the leopard did not show any aggression towards her. But sadly, this is wildlife and its laws are indisputable. In fact, the little animal was scared to death, and the leopard just decided to play with the victim, as any cat does.
Dangerous caresses lasted for an hour, but as a result, nature took its course. When at one point the impala tried to escape from an imminent fate, the leopard suddenly remembered that he was still a predator - he caught up with the victim and had lunch.
