Our electronic equipment is rapidly becoming obsolete, we get rid of it and acquire new ones, but the British artist Julie Alice Chappell picks up microcircuits and other elements from obsolete devices and turns them into unthinkable beauty of winged insects. “I perceive miniature circuits with the same curiosity and wonder that I perceive the natural world,” says Chappell.

In addition, the artist's works also carry an environmental message: recycling, recycling, a more careful attitude to what you want to throw away, but can be left and used somewhere. “My work turns discarded and often environmentally hazardous materials into something new and valuable, my art is sympathetic to environmental issues.”
